In South Africa, the legal limit is a breath alcohol content of 0.24mg per 1,000ml, or a blood alcohol limit of 0.05g per 100ml. What does this actually mean?
South Africa's high road death toll means that as a parent, you can't afford to compromise on safety. My personal bug bear is the sight of children standing in the back seat while their parents are safely strapped in in the front seat. (Don't you know that your child could end up flying through the window if you suddenly had to dead brake?!!) In addition to this, in May 2015 a new amendment of the National Road Traffic Act came into effect, which stipulates that all children under the age of three must be strapped into car seats while on the road.
